AEW stars Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin have made a huge impact with their faction, The Hurt Syndicate. In August, MVP and Bobby Lashley departed WWE when their contracts expired and Shelton Benjamin was released in 2023.
After Lashley and MVP departed WWE, rumors swirled about the trio reuniting as The Hurt Business, their former faction in WWE. After months of anticipation, they finally reunited in AEW under the new name, The Hurt Syndicate.
It all started when MVP made his way into AEW, followed by Shelton Benjamin. Former WWE star Bobby Lashley debuted weeks later on AEW Dynamite: Fight Night. The trio then attacked Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana, officially solidifying The Hurt Syndicate in AEW.
Currently, The Hurt Syndicate is locked in a feud with former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. Lashley and Strickland will face off at AEW Full Gear. Ahead of their match, Lashley has hinted at adding more members to The Hurt Syndicate.
Bobby Lashley hints at new additions to the Hurt Syndicate
Bobby Lashley recently appeared on The Lame Guys Wrestling Podcast, where he hinted at adding new members to The Hurt Syndicate. He said, “I was like, ‘If I’m going to go out, there are certain ways that I want to go out.’ I didn’t get an opportunity to go out the way that I wanted to with putting guys over and having a feud with those guys.”Another point Lashley did mention was that he would be elated to join forces with MVP and Shelton Benjamin again.
Lashley continued, “Ultimately, we are a group that is good for the company. We have the ability to be able to build talent. If you go into a feud with us or you’re on the mic against P, you have Shelton, me, whoever else we bring on. You have a lot of obstacles.”
Lashley prepares for his match against Swerve Strickland, scheduled for this weekend at AEW Full Gear. It will be interesting to see if the potential new addition to The Hurt Syndicate happens during the event.
