Amanda Kloots was paired with Alan Bersten in Dancing with The Stars Season 30, back in 2021. However, in a recent conversation, she opened up about the poor treatment she received from her dancing partner. Since then, fans have become curious to know what happened between Kloots and Bersten.
So, here are all the details.
Here’s what Amanda Kloots said about her DWTS partner Alan Bersten
During an appearance on Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey’s podcast, Amanda Kloots recalled her DWTS experience. She revealed that her dance partner Bersten was “very mean” to her during their time together for the show.
However, she believed his behavior towards her was likely a result of his winning mindset, which stemmed from his upbringing in Russia. She said, “Growing up Russian, growing up in that dance atmosphere. And he did see a lot of potential in me, and he saw that we could possibly win this thing.”
Additionally, she claimed that he also used to “yell” at her. However, she used to not say anything to avoid wasting their rehearsal time. She said she always kept her feelings to herself, do dance rehearsals but was angry within.
Kloots and Bersten were excellent performers overall in the dance reality show, and they managed to make it to the finale. In week 10, there remained only four contestants including this duo. The Season 30 finale featured two rounds, where contestants had to perform twice in freestyle and fusion dance styles, respectively.
They performed Paso doble & Viennese waltz to “Never Tear Us Apart” by Bishop Briggs, earning a 38/40 score. In their freestyle routine, they set the stage on fire by syncing to the beats of “A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay. They earned a perfect score for it.
Despite reaching the finale, the dancing duo couldn’t take the DWTS winner title home. They were placed fourth in the finale. Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach were declared winners eventually.
