The 23-year-old actress stunned netizens with a series of stories she posted on her Instagram account, directed toward Donald Trump.

As shared by the user Steph Anie on X (formerly Twitter), Rachel Zegler first mentioned that she was “speechless” following Trump’s re-election. In the second story, she also unleashed a rant against Trump’s supporters. Zegler stated, “There is also a deep, deep sickness in this country that is shown in the sheer amount of people who showed up for this man who threatens our democracy.”

The Snow White actress added, “It is terrifying the number of people who stand behind what this man preaches.” She further urged her followers to boycott X, as its owner, Elon Musk, is a firm supporter of Trump. However, these words weren’t well-received by all the Trump supporters, including talk show host Megyn Kelly. As reported by the New York Post, she in her criticism labeled Zegler a “pig.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in her apology, following the backlash, the actress posted another story. In it, she stated that she “would like to sincerely apologize” for the statement she gave on the election results. “I let my emotions get the best of me. Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse,” wrote Zegler.
