WWE RAW Superstar and Women’s World Heavyweight Champion Liv Morgan is currently at the top of her game. 2024 has undoubtedly been the year of the WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Champion.
After recovering from a shoulder injury that kept her out last year, Morgan made a surprise return at Royal Rumble, setting the stage for an impressive comeback. She launched into a heated rivalry with Rhea Ripley after WrestleMania 40. There, she won the WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Becky Lynch at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event.
Since claiming the title, Morgan has clashed intensely with Ripley, with Dominik Mysterio even choosing her over Ripley. This added a new spark to her storyline. Their chemistry has quickly become a fan favorite. Most recently, Morgan made history at WWE Crown Jewel 2024 by defeating Nia Jax to become the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion.
With Liv Morgan having the best year of her WWE career, she has now set her sights on some surprising names she hopes to face at WWE SummerSlam in New Jersey next year.
Liv Morgan wants Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion for WWE SummerSlam
WWE RAW Superstar Liv Morgan recently reunited with her former tag team partner, Raquel Rodriguez. The latter recently joined her side during Morgan’s feud with Rhea Ripley. Since reuniting, the duo have become an unstoppable force.
Recently, Morgan surprised fans by naming international rap stars Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion as opponents she would love to face in a tag team match at WWE SummerSlam next year.
In an interview with Billboard, Liv Morgan discussed the possibility of facing Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, sharing her excitement for a potential high-profile showdown. She stated, “Well, Raquel and I are going to beat Jade and Bianca for those tag team titles. So we’ll head to WrestleMania.”
Morgan highlighted her hope to be “half of your women’s stage team champions.” Additionally, she said, “That offer still stands for them if they want a shot at our newly-crowned championships. [I’d love] to beat them in my hometown.”
WWE SummerSlam 2025 is set to take place next year in Liv Morgan’s hometown, New Jersey, at MetLife Stadium on August 2 and 3, 2025.
