ComingSoon is excited to debut the track “Glittergirl” from the Joan — Original Series Soundtrack by Harry Escott. Lakeshore Records will release the upcoming soundtrack digitally on November 8, 2024. It is now available to pre-save.
Escott is a BAFTA-award-winning composer who has worked on a litany of high-profile projects, including Hard Candy, Shifty, Steve McQueen’s Shame, and most recently, Greed. He’s also worked on the BBC drama Roadkill, as well as Steve McQueen and James Rogan’s three-film series Uprising.
Joan is a British crime drama created by Anna Symon and starring Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones), who plays the real-life character Joan Hannington, often known as “the Godmother” in the criminal underworld of England. The series follows her turn from housewife and mother to diamond thief and criminal mastermind in the 1980s.

“The sound of the score needed to fit with the brightly colored 80s pop songs that pepper the series, and it had to provide the energy and thrill we all expect from a caper, but the underpinning emotion for all of it needed to be much heavier,” said Escott in a statement on the soundtrack. “I knew I would have to lean on the talents of others in the studio to help realize this score, and I was lucky to work with some of the best musicians and engineers around. They really gave it their all, and I think it shows; The score is full of soul and personality, and I hope that comes across. Happy listening!”
The series premiered in September and premiered in the United States on The CW in October as part of its 2024-25 television season.
