Ahead of the U.S. presidential election day, Harrison Ford joined the list of many actors and big-name celebrities backing Kamala Harris. The likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, and several others have endorsed voting for Kamala Harris on Tuesday. Now, Harrison Ford does the same by choosing to support her in his latest video.
Harrison Ford endorses Kamala Harris in new video
The Han Solo actor has revealed who he will be voting for in the U.S. presidential election. Despite “voting for 64 years,” the 82-year-old hasn’t involved himself in showing political support for anyone. But now, he asks people to pay attention and back Harris, who will protect everyone’s “right to disagree with her about policies or ideas.”
In the black and white video posted on X (formerly Twitter), he spoke directly to the camera and said:
“Look, I’ve been voting for 64 years. Never really wanted to talk about it very much, but when dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms, saying, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ you have to pay attention. They’re telling us something important.”
Talking about Donald Trump’s former supporters standing against him, he added:
“These aren’t soft people. They are governors, generals, standing up against the leader of the party they spent their lives advocating for. For many of them, this will be the first time they’ve ever voted for someone who doesn’t have an R next to their name, because they know this really matters.”
He continued to advocate for Harris while stating that Trump “demands unquestioning loyalty since he wants revenge.” Then, the Indiana Jones star said that he’d vote for Harris and urged others to do the same. He concluded the video by adding:
“I’m Harrison Ford. I’ve got one vote – same as anyone else – and I’m going to use it to move forward. I’m going to vote for Kamala Harris.”
