Focus Features has released a new batch of Nosferatu posters for Robert Eggers‘ upcoming reimagining of 1922’s classic gothic movie of the same name.
The film is slated to arrive in theaters on December 25, 2025. It will also be debuting in the same month as other high-profile movies such as New Line’s animated fantasy The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, Sony’s Spider-Man spin-off Kraven the Hunter, Paramount Pictures’ newest sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Barry Jenkins’ prequel Mufasa: The Lion King, and Searchlight Pictures’ Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.
Who is in the Nosferatu posters?
The new posters show off each of the film’s main characters, including Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Friedrich Harding, Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Hutter, Emma Corrin as Anna Harding, and Willem Dafoe as Prof. Albin Eberhart Von Franz. The character posters also teased the dark and sinister presence that will take over their lives.
“The film is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
The Nosferatu remake is written and directed by Robert Eggers, who’s returning to the horror genre after nearly a decade since the theatrical release of his feature-length directorial debut movie The Witch. The ensemble cast will also include Bill Skarsgård as Count Orlok, Ralph Ineson as Dr. Wilhelm Sievers, and Simon McBurney as Herr Knock. The film is produced by Eggers, Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus, and Eleanor Columbus.
