According to the New York Post, Danser died on October 22, days after a car accident in Kahala, Honolulu. A 59-year-old man driving her vehicle lost control and collided with a parked car. Danser, who was in the passenger seat, was critically injured and taken to the hospital. She passed away from her injuries on Tuesday, with her family by her side.
The 59-year-old driver was hospitalized in serious condition. Another woman in the parked vehicle was also hospitalized, while a man in that car declined treatment. Police have indicated that while speed was likely a factor in the crash, there was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement.
Danser’s brother, Jake, described her as “magical,” saying her positive energy brightened every environment. Her father, Dan, shared a moving story about how she once saved his life during a diving trip in Indonesia, showcasing her resourcefulness and bravery.
Originally from Castle Rock, Colorado, Danser had lived in Hawaii for about 12 years. She spent part of that time on a boat at Kewalo Basin.
