The Eyes Wide Shut star revealed that she had a torrid time while performing intimate scenes in the 2024 erotic drama.
Nicole Kidman shared her feelings of discomfort during the filming of Babygirl in a recent interview. The actress disclosed that she had to pause production as she was “turned on.” “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm anymore,’ Kidman stated. “It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout,” she added. The Academy Award winner conveyed that the filming process took a heavy toll on her. Nicole Kidman also admitted to having used phrases like “Don’t come near me” and “I hate doing this” due to the taxing nature of her intimate scenes in Babygirl. “I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life,” the actress added.
This is not the first time Nicole Kidman has taken on such a role, she has previously also undertaken bold roles. Her accredited performance in Eyes Wide Shut famously involved an explicit scene alongside her former partner Tom Cruise. Kidman also portrayed a prostitute in 2001’s Moulin Rouge!, which required her to fake an orgasm during a sequence.
Babygirl is currently slated to hit theatres in the United States on December 25, 2024.
