Curiosity has spiked around Taylor Swift and Dave Portnoy after the Barstool Founder shared a heartfelt gift he received from the pop icon. Now, fans are eager to know what Swift gave to her staunch supporter, Portnoy, during her Eras Tour.
Here are the details of Swift’s gift to Portnoy.
Taylor Swift gives Dave Portnoy a gift
Taylor Swift gifted Dave Portnoy a personal, handwritten note after he attended one of her Eras Tour concerts.
Barstool Founder Portnoy recently took to BFFs podcast Instagram handle to share an appreciation gift that Swift delivered to him through her brother Austin. In the note, she extended her gratitude to him for always being supportive and being with her through thick and thin.
The note exactly read, “I’m so happy to have you at the show tonight! I wanted to say Thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal, and for having my back when a lot of people didn’t. I hope you have a blast tonight, Love Taylor!” It also featured his name ‘Dave’ alongside a green stamp inscribed with the number 13.
Moreover, Portnoy sported a Swift t-shirt and friendship bracelets on his Instagram handle, giving a review of his experience of the Eras tour too. He also addressed fans who consider him a “fake Taylor Swift fan.”
Portnoy and Swift have good relations despite both having distinct political views. In the previous month, Swift displayed her support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential debate. She revealed on Instagram her reasons for supporting Harris, mentioning “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.” (via NBC News)
She received a lot of backlash for her comments. However, Portnoy, who endorsed Donald Trump previously didn’t leave her side despite having differing political views. He rather came into Swift’s support saying, “As the king of the Swifties people are asking me what I think of her Kamala endorsement. I don’t care at all. People can vote for whoever they want in this country.” (via Daily Mail)
