A new trailer for Wolf Man has been released.
Wolf Man is the forthcoming Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions monster movie directed by Leigh Whannell. Based on 1941’s The Wolf Man, the film stars Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner, and more.

What do we know about Wolf Man?
“Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, It Comes at Night) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark, Inventing Anna), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Hullraisers, Coma). But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.”
Wolf Man also stars Sam Jaeger, Ben Prendergast, and Benedict Hardie. Whannell co-wrote the script with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum, and Rebecca Angelo. Jason Blum produces the movie, while Ryan Gosling (who was originally going to star in the movie before he and director Derek Cianfrance left the project in 2023), Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Whannell serve as executive producers.
Whannell’s previous filmography as a director includes 2015’s Insidious: Chapter 3, 2018’s Upgrade, and 2020’s The Invisible Man.
Wolf Man releases in United States theaters on January 17, 2025, from Universal Pictures.
