The Citadel Honey Bunny previews the latest action-packed spin-off in the spy franchise created by Joe and Anthony Russo, offering a glimpse of the upcoming series ahead of its debut on Prime Video on November 7 across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Citadel Honey Bunny is described as a “riveting spy thriller.” It takes place in the 1990s, following a stuntman named Bunny (Varun Dhawan) as he recruits the struggling actress Honey (played by Samantha) for a side gig. That sends them into a dangerous world filled with action, espionage, and betrayal. However, years later, once that dangerous past catches up with them, Bunny and Honey have to reunite to protect their young daughter Nadia.

What happens in the Citadel Honey Bunny trailer?
The Citadel Honey Bunny trailer goes for close to three minutes. Though it begins by showing Honey in action, gun-wielding like a pro, it flashes back to Honey’s days as a struggling actress. She tells her daughter that she used to be an agent. “Like James Bond?” Her daughter responds.
From there, the trailer turns some of its focus to the Bunny character and how he recruited Honey and helped to train her. It reveals how Bunny himself was brought in by his father, while also highlighting the lighter side and humor of the Citadel spin-off. The trailer ends with Nadia saying that she’s still a kid.
From the world of Citadel, the spin-off is directed by Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK) and written by Sita R. Menon along with Raj & DK. The series is produced by D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO. Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes from AGBO, alongside David Weil (Hunters), executive produce. Midnight Radio is also an executive producer.
Along with Samantha and Dhawan, the ensemble cast includes Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is the latest spin-off following Citadel: Diana, with the original series becoming Prime Video’s second most-watched new original series outside the U.S. and fourth most-watched worldwide, after 24 days. Citadel Season 2, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas alongside Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, with Joe Russo serving as director, is in production.
