Tracker is back with a bang. Season 2 of the drama series resumes the journey of Colter Shaw to help the citizens and law with his tracking skills. Tracker Season 2 Episode 1 revealed that Teddi Bruin is away helping her mother.
The premiere of Season 2 left viewers stunned by the absence of Bruin, who was one of Colter Shaw’s helping hand in finding cases. However, Bruin’s wife, Velma explained the reason behind her absence. In her call with Shaw, Velma revealed that Teddi is helping her mom which seemingly explains she is out of town.
While Brown asks Velma what she is supposed to manage between her home and where her wife is, she explains she and Teddi are taking their time apart. She further said that she found herself getting between Teddi and her mom. As a result, she returned home to focus on her work with Shaw. Velma also mentioned that Teddi would be there for a while as the latter is helping her mom get sorted. (via Deadline)
Could Robin Weigert return as Teddi Bruin in Tracker?
As of now, Robin Weigert’s return as Teddi Bruin in Tracker Season 2 is not confirmed.
In August 2024, TVLine confirmed Weigert’s exit from the series ahead of Season 2’s premiere. However, the actress and makers chose to remain tight-lipped about this sudden departure. It is possible the actress was not satisfied with her minor role in Season 1 and left the show to seek better opportunities. She is currently looking forward to her role in the dark-comedy, American Dog.
On the other hand, Teddi Bruin’s character has not come to an end in Tracker given Velma’s explanation. So, it will be interesting to see how makers have planned the future of the character especially her dynamics with her wife.
