Peaky Blinders Movie Cast Adds Boardwalk Empire’s Stephen Graham

Boardwalk Empire vet Stephen Graham has officially signed on to join the Peaky Blinders movie cast for Netflix‘s highly-anticipated next installment to the acclaimed crime drama series. Production on the project is currently underway.

During the sixth and final season of the BBC series, Graham played the recurring role of Hayden Stagg, who was introduced as a union convener stealing opium from the titular gang. At the moment, it’s currently unclear if Graham will be reprising the role in the upcoming movie or if he will play a new character.

Who is in the Peaky Blinders movie cast?

Peaky Blinders movie will be led by Oscar winner Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby, who will be joined by a set of new cast members. These include Rebecca Ferguson (Dune), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn), and Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs). Described as an epic continuation of the multi-award-winning gangster saga, the World War II-set film is directed by Tom Harper from a screenplay written by Steven Knight. Besides Murphy, it’s still unknown if some of the main cast members from the original series would also make a return for the movie.

The Peaky Blinders movie is produced by Knight, Murphy, Patrick Holland, and Guy Heeley. Executive producers are Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Caryn Mandabach, and Andrew Warren. It is a production between Netflix and BBC Film. Last December 2023, it was reported that Netflix was developing two Peaky Blinders spin-offs, with the first one set to take place in the middle of the 20th century and the other one centered around the origins of Helen McCrory’s Polly Gray.
