In a recent interview with TVLine, showrunner Spencer Hudnut opened up on the SEAL Team’s conclusion. He stated, ”I hope the legacy is that we told an authentic story. It wasn’t a recruiting video, but it also wasn’t a politically slanted view of the military. We tried to tell the real story of our men and women in uniform and the true meaning of sacrifice.”
SEAL Team Season 7 aired its finale on October 6, 2024. The season featured a total of ten episodes.

As viewers are aware, the show’s seventh season was renewed in January 2023. However, the production was halted due to the writers’ strike. Additionally, fans launched a social media campaign for the continuation of the series. A year later, the series returned with its seventh part. Apart from this, a standalone movie reportedly announced in February 2022 post Season 6’s renewal was shelved a year later.
SEAL Team’s writer David Boreanaz shared with TV Insider that the show has been canceled due to the story running its course. He stated that during the beginning of Season 7, the makers realized it was “the perfect way” to conclude Jason’s story.
Thus, these events contributed to the cancellation of SEAL Team after a successful seven-year run.
