Curious about Harvey Dent’s fate in Joker 2? Joker: Folie a Deux recently hit the screens. The film is a sequel to the 2019 movie, continuing the story of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker as he grapples with his dual identity in society. This time, he is joined by his love, Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga, as they navigate a decaying Gotham City. Since its release, the film has sparked numerous discussions, including death speculation of Harry Lawtey’s Harvey Dent. So, what happened to Harvey Dent, and does he die in Joker 2?

Let’s dive into the details of the character’s death speculation in the psychological thriller.

What happens to Harvey Dent in Joker: Folie à Deux?

Harvey Dent is severely injured at the end of Joker: Folie à Deux.

Throughout the film, Arthur Fleck’s descent into madness symbolizes the growing anarchy in Gotham after he killed Murray on live television in part one. These sections believe that there is no difference between Arthur and Joker including the newly-appointed Assistant District Attorney Harvey Dent. Dent tries his best to establish the fact as Arthur faces the trial of his brutal crimes.

However, before the jury can announce the verdict, a shocking twist takes place. A car blows up outside the courthouse destroying much of its wall and leaving many people injured and dead. Amongst the injured is Harvey Dent, who manages to survive the explosion with severe cuts and burns on the left side of his face.

Does Harvey Dent become Two-Face in Joker: Folie à Deux?

It is not confirmed whether Harvey Dent became Two-Face in Joker: Folie à Deux.

As mentioned above, Dent’s left side of the face is severely burned following the car explosion. Although he survives the blast, DC fans have raised interesting theories about the character. It is possible that Dent becomes the Batman comic’s villain and his alter-ego Two-Face due to the injuries on one side of his face. Further, he could have suffered way more than just burning half of his face. However, only time will tell if Dent’s Two-Face will be brought to life in the Joker franchise.

Joker: Folie à Deux is currently running in theatres.
