Hacks Season 4 Begins Filming After Multiple Emmy Wins

Max has shared the first behind-the-scenes photo from Hacks Season 4, confirming that production on the acclaimed comedy series has officially started. The photo features lead stars Hannah Einbinder (Julia) and Jean Smart (Frasier, Watchmen), as they reprise their respective roles as Ava Daniels and Deborah Vance.

The filming start comes after the show recently won three major Emmy Awards out of 17 nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. For her performance in Season 3, Smart won her sixth Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress.

Who’s involved in Hacks Season 4

Hacks is created and executive produced by Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky, who are also serving as showrunners. The series also stars Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, and Lorenza Izzo. It is executive produced by Michael Schur, David Miner and Morgan Sackett.

Season 3 also featured guest-stars Helen Hunt, Christina Hendricks, Christopher Lloyd, Dan Bucatinsky, George Wallace and Tony Goldwyn. The latest season begins a year after Deborah and Ava parted ways. The former is riding high off the success of her standup special, while Ava pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles.
