Will Dwayne Johnson and others return for Sony’s Jumanji 4?

While the viral trailer may be fake, the good news is that Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji 4 rumors are not entirely unfounded. Several key figures involved in the Jumanji: The Next Level production have indicated that a fourth installment is in the works. Dwayne Johnson was among the first to tease a connection between the third and fourth films. Jake Kasdan later confirmed that the movie was indeed under development in March 2020. In November 2022, producer Hiram Garcia announced that production was imminent, although this timeline has not materialized. At the time of writing, there have been no further updates on the project, but Jumanji 4 remains uncancelled.

Jake Kasdan has confirmed the return of the main cast from the previous two Jumanji films for the upcoming fourth installment. This includes Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Xander Bravestone, Kevin Hart as Franklin Finbar, Jack Black as Professor Sheldon Oberon, and Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse. It’s also highly probable that their younger counterparts will reprise their roles: Alex Wolff as Spencer Gilpin, Ser’Darius Blain as Anthony Johnson, and Madison Iseman as Bethany Walker.
