Ready to do a front salad, back salad, and front blunt down the Mongocorp handrail? Well, the wait is almost over. Electronic Arts and Full Circle revealed Skate early access launches next year.
When does Skate Early Access begin?
As of right now, there isn’t a specific date for Skate’s early access launch. However, publisher EA and developer Full Circle announced a broad 2025 release window. More release details about its release will be revealed in the coming months according to the game’s official Twitter post.
Alongside the Skate release window reveal is a brand new trailer. While everything shown is similar to previous trailers, it does give a decent look at some of its improved animations. In particular, the little pivot at the end of the first trick is a nice touch for people looking for realism. Different obstacles appear out of thin air allowing for more possibilities at any given spot. The bailing physics are also shown, which will surely result in some goofy clips.
Also shown in the trailer are several of Skate’s featured brands. The first and last skater shown are wearing Vans Half Cabs, one of skateboarding’s most iconic shoes. The first skater is riding a Chocolate board, a beloved skate brand. The last rider is sporting a Thrasher hoodie which is the most popular skateboarding publication. Girl Skateboards, and Dickies are also represented in the upcoming game.
Not much is known about Skate’s guest pro skaters. However, Girl Skateboards’ Breana Geering was in the reveal trailer, so she may appear skating in San Vansterdam.
EA and Full Circle has brought thousands of PC playtesters to check out the game the last two years. Console playtesting begins in Fall 2024. Anyone interested can still sign up for a chance to playtest the upcoming highly anticipated game.
