Wells is primarily known for his works in Marvel Comics which include Heroes for Hire, Civil War: Young Avengers/Runways, and Spider-Man titles. Apart from that, he is known for writing The Dark Reign: Elektra and the Dark Origin of the Venom franchise. In 2011, he launched the Avenging Spider-Man with artist Joe Madureira and co-wrote two Carnage series. Heidi Gardner announced her separation from Zeb Wells on The Liz Moody Podcast. She said, “Sadly I went through the end of a relationship, which it feels weird to say end because I also know that person will always be in my life and it will transform in a different way.”
The comedian added, “You know, sending them all the like love and respect in the world that I still have for them. But it was just a couple-year period of transition and grief and hope and loss and all of those things.” (via People)
Gardener also mentioned that during the separation she tried to become a better version of herself which will help her become a better partner in the future. The 41-year-old further called the breakup “painful and uncomfortable.” She also credited the amazing women in her life who oftentimes have proved to know better things to say and better ways to love her than a romantic partner.
While Gardener did not mention the reason behind the separation, Wells has yet to explain his side of the story.
