Lindsay Morgan is a popular actress who has appeared as Kristina Davis in General Hospital, Raven Reyes in The 100, Cpt. Rose Corley in Beyond Skyline and Skylines, and Micki Ramirez in the CW reboot of Walker. However, she eventually left two of the aforementioned shows, leaving fans with one question: Why did she leave Walker and General Hospital?
Here is why Lindsay Morgan left Walker and General Hospital.
Real reason why Lindsey Morgan left The CW’s Walker
Morgan portrayed Micki Ramirez in the first two seasons of the CW’s Walker before she departed from the series. Ramirez was the professional partner of the eponymous protagonist Cordell Walker (Jared Padalecki) in the Texas Rangers. After Morgan decided to leave the show, her character was written out of the plot. Ramirez’s ex-fiancé Garrison died, and she subsequently left the Rangers and relocated to San Antonio.
During a recent appearance on the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast, Morgan revealed how she left Walker. “I had a spinal injury, which was affecting my nervous system and my brainstem,” Morgan explained. “I was really blessed and lucky that I started working and didn’t stop.”
Morgan later added. “But, looking back, I realized my mistake in the sense of, like an athlete, I was working, working, working out putting, outputting, outputting, outputting, but I wasn’t recovering. All my dreams were coming true, and I was a mess. Me, personally, was not in a good place. My anxiety was through the roof.” (via The Hollywood Reporter)
Why did Lindsey Morgan leave General Hospital?
Morgan portrayed Kristina Davis in General Hospital between 2012 and 2013. She hasn’t yet explained why she departed from the long-running ABC soap opera. However, she reportedly released a statement on Facebook at the time. In the since-deleted post, she thanked the fans and urged them to continue watching General Hospital.
“It is with a heavy heart I have to announce that my time at Port Charles has come to an end. I’m not sure where Kristina is headed next, but it was a beyond amazing opportunity to portray her, be part of the Davis Girls, have the Corinthos’ passion and temper run through my veins and to witness history being made on this momentous show,” she posted.
“I learned so much and am so grateful for the friendships I’ve made and experiences I’ve had,” Morgan continued. “GH will always have a special place in my heart, and I cannot thank y’all enough for tuning in loyally to watch me live my dream… Now keep watching GH!! The Nurses’ Ball is mere days away!! All my love and see you on the next adventure,” she concluded. (via Soap Opera Network)
Will Lindsey Morgan’s Kristina Davis return to General Hospital?
After Morgan’s departure, Lexi Ainsworth, who played Kristina from 2009 to 2011, returned to the cast in 2015 to resume portraying the character. In 2023, Kate Mansi replaced Ainsworth as Kristina, and she has been part of the cast since then. While Morgan might potentially return in the future, she seemingly hasn’t said anything on the matter.
