Netflix has finally unveiled the first actors who will join The Boroughs cast. The upcoming supernatural mystery series hails from Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer. At the moment, the project currently has no target release date.
“In a seemingly picturesque retirement community, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have… time,” reads the official logline.
Who is in The Boroughs cast?
Alfred Molina (Three Pines), Geena Davis (Thelma and Louise), Alfre Woodard (Clemency), Denis O’Hare (American Horror Story), Clarke Peters (Da 5 Bloods) and Bill Pullman (The Sinner) have signed on for leading roles in The Boroughs series, which will consists of 8 episodes. They will be playing the respective roles of Sam, Renee, Judy, Wally, Art and Jack.
“While the heroes in The Boroughs have a few more years on them than the kids from Stranger Things, they are a similarly lovable bunch of misfits, and we can’t wait for you to join them on an adventure that is at turns scary, funny, and deeply touching,” said The Duffer brothers in a statement (via Tudum).
The Boroughs is created by showrunners Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance), who are both executive producing alongside The Duffer Brothers. It is executive produced by Hilary Leavitt, Jeffrey Addiss, Will Matthews, and Ben Taylor, with the latter also set to direct multiple episodes of the show.
