George R.R. Martin comments on House of the Dragon’s story

Writer George RR Martin didn’t hold back in his words as he recently called out the prequel series of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon.

In his recent blog, which Martin has been running for years to connect with his fans, he decided to enlighten his fans with some knowledge of the burning of Zozobra. As he explained the festival and the recent activities that he had indulged in, he took a moment at the end of the blog to make a remark on the House of the Dragon.

The author stated, ”I do not look forward to other posts I need to write, about everything that’s gone wrong with HOUSE OF THE DRAGON… but I need to do that too, and I will. Not today, though. TODAY is Zozobra’s day, when we turn away from gloom.”

According to a report by Variety, the criticism that Martin expressed for House of the Dragon wasn’t there before. During the airing of Season 2, he had praised the series and especially mentioned the episode, ‘The Red Dragon and the Gold.’

However, the writer has been a constant at posting such feedback about the show on his blog. Martin, who is a producer and co-creator for House of the Dragon and a co-creator, has previously pointed out the incorrect usage of a sigil for House Targaryen.
