Former WWE United States Champion Logan Paul is facing controversy over a viral dog video that has sparked backlash on social media. This marks the second time in recent weeks that Paul has landed in hot water.
Logan Paul recently stirred controversy with a tweet about the Olympic boxing match between Imane Khelif and Angela Carini. He labeled the match as the “purest form of evil,” which drew sharp criticism from fans. Paul later admitted on Twitter that he might have spread misinformation along with others on the platform.
Now, Paul is again in the spotlight for a video he posted four years ago. It shows Paul on a boat with a dog and other people. Social media claims suggest that Paul intentionally pushed the dog into the water to create content, putting the dog in real danger. This has resulted in a significant backlash against Paul on social media once more.
Logan Paul clears up controversy surrounding dog incident
Former WWE United States Champion Logan Paul has been criticized again for a resurfaced dog video. He finally responded to the claims on social media by taking to Twitter. Paul shared a screenshot of a comment he made about the video four years ago and also posted the original video in slow motion to clarify the situation.
While Logan Paul’s efforts to clarify the situation seem to have eased the controversy, no one from WWE has commented on the matter yet. The last time the former appeared on WWE programming was a few weeks ago at SummerSlam, where he lost his United States Championship to LA Knight.
This defeat ended Paul’s 279-day reign, making him the third-longest reigning US Champion in WWE history. Following the loss, Paul issued a legal notice to LA Knight for damaging his Maverick PRIME energy truck.
