Fox has given the green light to three new drama pilots from Gary Tieche, Barry Josephson and Denis Leary, says Variety.
“Supreme Courtships” comes from Adelstein Productions and writer Tieche, while Josephson has paired with U.K. producers Eileen Gallagher and Ann McManus (“Bad Girls”) and writers Samantha Goodman and Andy Stern for a drama about nurses.
Both of those projects hail from 20th Century Fox TV.
As for Leary, his Apostle production company is producing “Canterbury’s Law,” written by Dave Erickson, through its deal with Sony Pictures TV.
“Supreme Courtships” revolves around the professional and personal world of six Supreme Court clerks. Tieche and Adelstein Productions (“Prison Break”) principals Marty Adelstein and Michael Thorn will produce.
The nurses pilot, a comedy/drama set in a big-city hospital, will be executive produced by Josephson (“Bones”), as well as Gallagher and McManus. Goodman and Stern will co-executive produce.
Leary and Apostle topper Jim Serpico will executive produce “Canterbury’s Law,” which centers on a female attorney who makes waves while defending her innocent clients. Erickson also will co-executive produce the drama.
