Netflix‘s new TV and movie releases on its schedule for August 12-18, 2024, include Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 and Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2.
On August 15, Thursday, Netflix subscribers can tune in to check out both Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 and Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2.
Emily in Paris is a dramedy created by Darren Star. The series follows Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins), an ambitious marketing executive from Chicago who lands her dream job in Paris. Emily quickly adapts to her new life, making friends, exploring her work, and seeking romantic relationships.
Kengan Ashura is an anime based on Yabako Sandrovich and Daromeon’s manga series of the same name. In Season 2, contestants participate in the second round of the Kengan Life or Death tournament. Tokita Ohma is not involved as he is unconscious in the hospital. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure plots a violent coup while Hayami and Electric Power Co. attempt to do the same.
Also releasing on Netflix this week are the films The Union and Pearl.
The Union is an action-thriller about a New Jersey construction worker whose life changes dramatically when his high-school love interest recruits him for an espionage mission.
Pearl is a horror-slasher thriller that serves as a prequel to X. The story follows Pearl, a young woman trapped on an isolated farm, caring for her sick father under the control of her overbearing, bitter, and religious mother. Pearl, who yearns for the exciting life depicted in movies, soon descends into madness as her ambitions, temptations, and repressed feelings come to the surface.
