What Happened to IShowSpeed? YouTube Ban Explained

Fans are interested in learning why Darren Jason Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, was banned from YouTube. They also want to know how long his ban from the platform will be. In recent times, the YouTuber has made a name for himself as one of the top content creators of the streaming community via absurd antics like getting tased while playing FIFA and jumping over cars on the road. He has also shared vlogs about his visits to various countries and doing certain challenges in video game live streams.

So why was IShowSpeed banned from YouTube? How long is his ban? Here is everything we have uncovered on the buzzing matter.

Why was IShowSpeed banned from YouTube?

IShowSpeed was banned from YouTube for violating community guidelines.

He had allegedly violated community guidelines for filming a live stream where he jumped over two cars, a Lamborghini and McLaren supercar, back-to-back. The live stream depicting him jumping over the supercars has been removed. However, a clip of this dangerous stunt can still be found on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

The Active Community Guidelines strike, which can result in a ban, was confirmed by IShowSpeed’s editor Slipz via his X account on August 5.

The streamer has reportedly been banned by YouTube multiple times before for violating the platform’s rules. Instances include streaming a Minecraft mod with sexually graphic content and illegally streaming the 2022 FIFA Football Awards 2022 ceremony at the same time FIFA had been doing it on their own channel.

In addition, IShowSpeed has a history of being banned by other major platforms. As per GameRant, PlayStation banned the content creator’s PSN account earlier this year for allegedly inappropriate behavior on one of their games, LittleBigPlanet. However, the streamer eventually discovered his younger half-brother Dian was responsible for the situation.

How long has IShowSpeed been banned for?

IShowSpeed has been reportedly banned for two weeks.

This news comes from a verified fan account of the streamer Speedy HQ. It claims that the strike had been appealed and revealed that it would share more updates regarding the ban as they developed.

As of this writing, IShowSpeed has accrued over 27.7 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
