Randy Orton Still in Contact With Former WWE Star

A former WWE World Champion has shared how he stays in touch with Randy Orton after his release. Randy Orton, who has dedicated his entire wrestling career to WWE, has been with the promotion for over two decades.

Randy Orton has become one of the most famous WWE stars worldwide since his arrival in WWE in 2002. Orton’s journey from a young talent to a seasoned veteran has been accompanied by many achievements in the WWE. He has guided numerous up-and-coming stars and has grown into the locker room’s top figure during his time in WWE.

He also had unforgettable feuds, including battles with some of WWE stars like The Undertaker, Triple H, John Cena, and Jinder Mahal. The former rival of Orton’s, Jinder Mahal, recently revealed their continued strong connection despite Mahal’s release from the promotion.

Jinder Mahal calls Randy Orton his role model & mentor

Former WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal, who had a memorable segment with The Rock earlier this year on the Day One edition of Raw, was released from the promotion back in April. Then, he became a free agent and recently made a shock appearance in GCW.

Speaking on the Casual Conversations podcast, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal said that Randy Orton remains a close friend and mentor for him. He stated, “Even now, me and Randy [Orton] text pretty regularly. He’s a very good friend of mine and when I started he’s almost like a role model, like a mentor to me and a lot of other guys too. Many other wrestlers, we all look up to Randy, just his style, everything about him, in and outside of the ring, like, ‘Randy is the man.”

In 2017, Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton at Backlash to win his first WWE Championship. Mahal held the title for 170 days, during which he successfully defended it against stars like Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura.
