Curious fans are wondering whether Simone Biles has a baby. In addition to photos of the gymnast with a baby girl in her arms, Biles has had to answer questions and rumors about being pregnant and what her plans are in the future when it comes to having children with her husband, Jonathan Owens. As of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles is 27 years old, the oldest female gymnast to compete on the US Olympic team since Marie Margaret Hoesley in 1952. Here’s whether Simone Biles has any children or wants any children in the future.
Does Simone Biles have a daughter?
No, Simone Biles does not have a daughter. However, she dotes on her niece, Ronni Louise Biles, who is nicknamed “Baby Biles.” Ronni is the daughter of Simone’s older brother, Ron, and sister-in-law Sammi.
Ronni Biles doesn’t only appear on Simone Biles’ Instagram, but she is also featured on Sammi’s Instagram called “ivfbelieveinbabybiles.” A post on July 12, 2024 from the account shared a picture of “Baby Biles” with a cute leotard and having a fun time on the floor exercise mat at the World Champions Centre, where Simone Biles trains.
As for her future plans for children, as reported by TMZ, Simone Biles stated that she wants “two kids” in response to a fan question on Instagram back in 2022. She said that Owens jokingly “wants a football team,” though that really means that he wants three children.
However, in December 2023, she felt frustrated that some commenters thought she might be expecting a baby after posting a photo from a Packers’ game. In response, she stated in an Instagram story: “I hate that I even have to address this, but please stop commenting on this photo or my Instagram in general about me being ‘pregnant.’ I’m not pregnant.”
At any rate, any plans for Simone Biles having children will likely need to wait until after the 2024 Paris Olympics is over. Biles took a two-year hiatus from competition after the Tokyo Olympics, so seeing her take a break or retiring from the sport altogether to have children would not be too surprising. She might address this subject further in the Simone Biles Rising documentary that will appear on Netflix on July 17, 2024.
