A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Trailer: Wednesday’s Emma Myers Searches for the Truth in Netflix Series

Netflix has shared the official A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder trailer for the coming-of-age mystery drama starring Wednesday’s Emma Myers. Following its UK premiere, the series is expected to make its U.S. debut this coming August 1, exclusively on Netflix.

“Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. Case closed. The police know he did it,” reads the logline. “Everyone in town knows he did it. But smart and single minded Pip Fitz-Amobi isn’t so sure and she’s determined to prove it. And if Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?”

What happens in the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder trailer?

In the latest trailer, Myers’ character Pip Fitz-Amobi starts investigating a five-year-old murder case involving the death of a teenage girl who was said to be killed by her boyfriend. However, Pip believes that the girl’s boyfriend was wrongly accused. Because of this, she’ll do everything she can to solve this mystery and find the real culprit.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is directed by actress Dolly Wells from a screenplay written by Poppy Cogan, Zia Ahmed, Ajoke Ibironke, and Ruby Thomas. Joining Myers are Zain Iqbal, Anna Maxwell Martin, Gary Beadle, Mathew Baynton, India Lillie Davies, Rahul Pattni, Henry Ashton, Mitu Panicucci, Orla Hill, Ephraim O.P. Sampson, Carla Woodcock, Yasmin Al-Khudhairi, Jessica Webber, Matthew Khan, Georgia Aaron, Oliver Wickham, Adam Astill, Annabel Mullion, Jude Morgan-Collie, Raiko Gohara, Asha Banks, and Yali Topol Margalith.

The six-episode first season is based on the first novel of Jackson’s novel series about the teenage sleuth’s investigations. Executive producers are Wells, Cogan, Jackson, Matthew Read, Matthew Bouch, Frith Tiplady, Lucy Richer, and Danielle Scott-Haughton, with Florence Walker serving as a producer.
