Episode 14 of the costume Chinese drama Follow Your Heart, starring Song Yi and Luo Yunxi, was released on June 25, 2024. As seen in the official trailer, the drama tells the story of a prince diagnosed with face blindness and a clever doctor who team up to serve justice in the capital. In the previous episode, Yan Nanxing (Song Yi) tells Shang Bieli the truth about his sister-in-law. Episode 14 focuses on Jiang Xinbai (Luo Yunxi) investigating a murder.
In the latest episode, Xinbai’s mother summons Nanxing to the court. She questions whether she was the one who took the Duke hostage. Nanxing introduces herself as a secret scout of the inspection office who had been helping the Duke in the Zornia case. She took him hostage just for the show. However, Xinbai’s mother is not ready to buy her answer as the inspection office does not usually hire women. Having no choice, Nanxing announces that she will bring this matter to the Emperor.
Nanxing’s answer infuriates her, and she threatens to punish her for being impolite. Yet, Jiang Xinbai enters the court in time. He urges his mother to let Nanxing go and interrogate him instead.

When asked if Nanxing helped him in the Zornia case, the former tries to send him some signals. However, since he suffers from face blindness, she is afraid that he would not be able to recognize her expressions. Nevertheless, luckily for her, Xinbai convinces his mother that Nanxing indeed saved his life during the investigation. The Queen is impressed with Nanxing and offers her to be a family friend.
It does not take Xinbai long to figure out that Jiang Suoluo manipulated their mother against Nanxing. He asks her to keep innocent people like Nanxing out of their dispute.
Luo Yunxi investigates a murder
Meanwhile, Ruoqian discovers Cao Wenquan’s dead body in the well. Xinbai and the inspection office investigate the incidents. They retrieve a unique tea leaf stuck inside the victim’s throat. Later, Xinbai comes to know that this type of tea, the Moon River, is exclusively supplied to the Longxin teahouse by Shang Bieli. Furthermore, they discover a letter written with blood nailed on a nearby tree.
In the letter, the victim has confessed to committing numerous sins. He committed suicide to atone for his crimes. Xinbai summons Ruoqian, who used to be Wenqian’s bookkeeper, to identify his handwriting.
Ruoqian confirms that the letter was indeed written by Cao Wenquian. However, Mr. Wenqian was barely literate. He was not poisoned and was stabbed in his abdomen. Xinbai senses foul play and decides to get to the bottom of the matter.
What happens in Follow Your Heart Episode 14’s ending?
Jiang Suoluo reveals to Shang Bieli that Xinbai is married. He married someone in Hamen, and she suspects Yan Nanxing is his bride. Bieli is surprised to know that his brother and sister-in-law were the witnesses of the marriage. Suoluo assures him that she has sent her subordinate to Hamen to obtain the bride’s portrait.
It is an unforgivable offense for Xinbai to marry without the Majesty’s approval. Bieli assures Suoluo that even though he despises Xinbai from the bottom of his heart, he will not report him as it will affect his friendship with Suoluo.
Xinbai visits official Li, one of the officers who banished his father from the capital after he failed to solve the Zornia case. Xinbai vows to delve into the case his father could not solve. Next, he visits the teahouse to meet Bieli. He finally reveals how Gaya passed away. According to Xinbai, Zornia traders of Hamen framed General Nan, and Gaya died protecting him.
