Dead by Daylight Lara-Croft Tomb Raider

Dead By Daylight Lara Croft Tomb Raider Crossover Gets Release Date

Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft comes to Dead By Daylight next month. While the crossover leaked earlier this month, fans finally have an official release date and a look at the asymmetric multiplayer horror game’s version of Lara. Behavior Interactive also revealed her abilities in the upcoming crossover.

When is Lara Croft coming to Dead by Daylight?

Lara Croft delves into Behavior Interactive’s Dead by Daylight on July 16, though Steam users can now opt into the update’s beta. Gaming’s favorite archeologist seems to have lost track of both her dual pistols and bow when she was pulled into the fog. However, surviving the Tomb Raider prequels has given her a few skills to help her survive.

Behavior Interactive detailed Lara Croft’s Perks in Dead By Daylight’s 8.1.0 patch notes:

  • Finesse: This perk activates while you are healthy. Your fast vaults are 20% faster. This perk goes on cooldown for 40/35/30 seconds after performing a fast vault.
  • Hardened: After you unlock a chest and cleanse or bless a totem, this perk activates. Anytime you would scream, reveal the Killer’s aura for 3/4/5 seconds instead.
  • Specialist: Each time you open or rummage through a chest, gain 1 token, up to 3/3/3. When you do a great skill check on a generator, consume all tokens. Then for each token consumed, reduce the maximum required generator progress by 2/3/4.

As many fans guessed after the initial leak, Dead By Daylight’s Lara most closely resembles the 2013 version of the character. Crystal Dynamics revealed its unified Lara Croft in February, but fans have yet to see her in action. Still, it’s hard to argue that the 2013 version isn’t a perfect fit for a horror game.
