Wang Tao, popularly known as Wang Xingyue, is a popular Chinese drama actor who made his acting debut in the 2019 public awareness film Deep Water Zone. A graduate of the prestigious Central Academy of Drama, Wang has appeared in several critically acclaimed Chinese dramas, including Scent of Time, First Love, Delicacies Destiny, and others.
Currently, Wang Xingyue is impressing viewers with his role as Duke Xiao Heng in the superhit ongoing period thriller series The Double. In the drama, the actor plays the role of an inspector under the Emperor of Yan, who eradicates evil with the help of his remarkable wit and martial arts skills. After he meets a helpless woman who has escaped death, he becomes her benefactor and eventually falls in love with her.

In this 2023 Chinese drama, Wang Xingyue plays the role of Zhong Xi Wu, who falls for Hua Qian (Zhou Ye). The drama is an adaptation of Qi Yue Li’s The Female Supporting Role. Hua Qian is stuck in a loveless marriage with her husband, Zhong Ye Lan, who is in love with someone else. She hails from a prominent family but becomes infatuated with Zhong Ye Lan. After a life-threatening experience, she grows to value her family and friends and learns to free herself of her infatuation. In this historical drama, Ling Xiao Xiao (He Ruixian), a young cook, wishes to become the first royal chef in the world. After receiving prince Zhu Shou Kui’s (Wang Xingyue) appreciation, she is employed in the imperial delicacy room. She faces multiple hardships along the way. Meanwhile, the prince falls in love with her. As she becomes the prince’s fiancée, the Emperor forbids the future crown princess from entering the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Ling Xiao Xiao struggles to choose between the prince and her dream. She eventually refuses to give up on her lifelong dream and decides to leave the palace to pursue cooking.

Your Sensibility My Destiny
This 2021 Chinese drama is an adaptation of Wei He Zong Zi’s novel of the same name. The drama tells the wholesome love story of Bu Guanjin (Lin Chi) and Mo Qingchen (Wang Xingyue). While one possesses a quirky and eccentric nature, the other has no emotions or feelings. The two accidentally meet after Guanjin gets on his carriage while trying to run away from her enemies. What started as an accidental meeting and a mere contract slowly became meaningful as they gradually fell for each other. Furthermore, Lin Chi helps Qingchen see the world in a different light.
