The Brat Pack: Where Are the Members Now?

Andrew McCarthy’s documentary BRATS reunites former members of the Brat Pack, a famous posse of actors who ran the 80s. The members included Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Hall, and others. These actors gave us a few classics, including The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink, and more.

Reportedly, in 1985, David Blum, a New York magazine writer, authored an article about the members, coining the term Brat Pack. A few months later, director John Huges dropped his classic The Breakfast Club. Before that, these actors had appeared in hits such as Taps, The Outsiders, and Rumble Fish. During their respective careers, these young actors took over Hollywood, made multiple iconic hits, and influenced the decades to come. Some built long-lasting careers, leaving an impression that would sustain them long after the 80s.

Now, Andrew McCarthy’s documentary brings back his former Brat Pack members as they sit down to discuss their respective lives. BRATS premiered on Hulu on June 13, 2024, and this article looks at what the former Brat Pack members have been doing now.
