K-pop act Seventeen features some of the most talented K-pop stars, including Jeonghan and Wonwoo. The duo will release a single album that contains the members’ first-ever solo tracks. Seventeen’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, has shared the release date, time, and tracklist for Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s album, This Man.
Since its debut, Seventeen has retained the attention of worldwide fans for its self-producing music. While many K-pop stars chose only to sing and perform songs written by others, Seventeen stood out by offering something refreshing and original: songs written by members.
Per the tracklist credits, This Man will also feature another Seventeen member who worked on the album’s creation- Woozi. Famous producer Bumzu has also contributed to the unit project.
Seventeen Jeonghan & Wonwoo reveals release date & time of new single ‘This Man’
K-pop group Seventeen members Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s This Man will be released on June 17 at 6 p.m. KST, 5 a.m. ET, 2 a.m. PT, 4 a.m. CT, 10 a.m. BST, and 2.30 p.m. IST. Pre-orders for the album began on June 12 and will continue until June 17.
The tracklist of Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s album, This Man, includes:
- “어젯밤” (Last night) (Guitar by 박주원) (title track)
- “Beautiful Monster” (Jeonghan)
- “휴지통” (Leftover) (Wonwoo)
Along with the tracklist, Pledis Entertainment shared an audio teaser of This Man, which hints at the concept and mood of the single EP. In two parts of the teaser, Jeonghan and Wonwoo depict the world of a fugitive who has created a dream-like world to escape the pain of real life.
Jeonghan teases that the fugitive is initially happy and repeatedly relives the happiest day of his life. Soon, however, the face of his loved one becomes blurry and distorted, and he finds it hard to differentiate between the real world and the dream-like vision.
Wonwoo continues the story in the next part, sharing that the fugitive lives among other people, almost unseen. But he notices those who are troubled and find it hard to fall asleep. The fugitive makes it his hobby to help those troubled souls by luring them to sleep by singing lullabies.
‘The Man’ strolls over the city, taking in others’ desires, sorrows, and happiness. People sometimes can’t remember if they have ever seen him. That’s how the urban legend of ‘This Man’ was born, who is a reflection of every man’s struggle, hope, and pain.
As per the teaser hint, the mini-album will contain a story of a dreamlike reality that everyone can connect to as ‘This Man’ has seen it all. Following the album release, Jeonghan and Wonwoo will meet fans face-to-face at Seventeen’s upcoming fan meeting on July 23 and 24.
