The popular reality show I-Land2 episode 8 will be released this week. After an intense elimination, twelve contestants have qualified for part 2 and will compete to reach the finale.
Mnet and Black Label’s new reality show I-Land 2:N/a started with 24 contestants. Initially, the competition’s challenges included group missions and individual scoring. Eun Chae and Yuiko were the first contestants to bid goodbye to the show in episode 4. In the next episode, two participants, Kang Jiwon and Nana, left the show after scoring the lowest.
Before part 2 began, six rookies aced the face-to-face mission and went to the second part of the show based on judges’ votes. The fate of the rest of the participants depended on global i-mate votes, and six members were lucky enough to reach part 2.
Mnet I-Land2 episode 8 gets new airtime
K-pop survival show I-land2 episode 8 will air on June 13 at 9:30 p.m. KST, 8:30 a.m. ET, 5:30 a.m. PT, 1:30 p.m. BST and 6 p.m. IST. From episode 7 onwards, Mnet has changed the broadcasting time of the show, which was previously at 8:50 p.m. KST. Global fans of the show can catch the upcoming episode on Mnet K-pop YouTube live stream.
Per the preview of the upcoming episode, part 2 will mark the beginning of the final countdown, where every performance can be crucial for the members to secure a spot in the debut team. Mnet is yet to reveal the number of members who could debut but hinted that it won’t be seven.
Members who will compete in the next round are Mai, Choi Jungeun, Sarang, Saebi, Yoon Jiyoon, Fuko, Bang Jeemin, Koko, Nam Yuju, Kim Sujung, Son Juwon, and Kim Gyuri. Mnet teased that the current rankings of all twelve members would be revealed at the end of every episode.
The voting for the final lineup has started, and fans can vote for their favorite participants until 12 p.m. KST on June 27. Most of the part 2 challenges will focus on the individual evaluation of the rookies, which will determine their place in the competition.
I-Land2 part 2 will also see a change in the host. After K-drama star Song Kang’s hosting stint in part 1, Zerobaseone star Seong Hanbin will be the storyteller for the remaining episodes.
