The new Thai BL series Love Sea premiered on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. ICT on channel GMM25. Starring Fort Thitipong Sangngey as Mahasamut and Peat Wasuthorn Chaijindar as Tongrak, the series follows the pair’s swoon-worthy seaside romance. Love Sea episode 1 sets the premise of the same.
Episode 1 of Love Sea begins with Tongrak arriving at the island. His friend, C. Worrington, told him to spend two weeks there as his new novel would be about the ocean. Mahasamut then arrives to pick him up on a bike, while Tongrak complains that the ride will damage his suitcases. The former borrows a cargo tricycle, and the latter is cranky for the entire ride. After reaching out, Tongrak called and ranted at Connor. However, Mut snatches the former’s phone and says he’ll take good care of him. He tells the latter to enjoy his trip with Ai Kom.
Tongrak tries to leave but is mesmerized by the ocean. Mahasamut then drops the former to his room and asks him to call if he needs anything. Tongrak then kicks him out of the room as he feels pestered by him. Elsewhere, Tongrak’s secretary, Mook, gets swamped with work as she receives calls for the former. Meanwhile, Vi tells Mook she will ensure the latter has enough work while Tongrak is away.
Elsewhere, Tongrak visits the bar where he meets Mahasamut’s brother, Palm. The latter shares that his brother is like the island’s celebrity, and the girls are crazy about him. It is not just women; Mahasamut is open to dating guys, too.

The next day, Mahasamut goes to Tongrak’s room and tidies up the place while the latter sleeps soundly. Connor had asked the former to look after him as Tongrak has “a lonely heart.” After waking up, the latter asks how Mahasamut got in the room. He hands him the keys he did not give the day before as Tongrak kicked him out. Later, Mahasamut compliments Tongrak’s “fair skin.” However, the latter angrily walks away when his charm does not work on him.
Furthermore, during breakfast, a picky Tongrak makes Mahasamut cook several times after rejecting all his dishes. The former then asks the latter to eat the leftovers, hoping it will infuriate him. However, Mahasamut is still unfazed. Tongrak then transfers him money multiple times and asks him to stop using the Southern dialect and speak the Central one with him. After previously saying money can’t buy him, Mahasamut gladly accepts the offer.
Mahasamut continues to follow an “arrogant, embarrassed, and angry” Tongrak around. The former then says Connor has already paid him to look after the latter. If Tongrak does not let him do his job, Mahasamut must return the money. Moreover, he would be unable to find work now as people already know he is booked for two weeks. So, Mahasamut asks Tongrak to let him be his guide.
Elsewhere, Mook prepares a speech to stop Vi from making the former do her tasks. However, she’s unable to speak up when Vi asks her to change the lightbulb at her condo. As she’s one of Tongrak’s tenants, Vi argues it is his secretary’s responsibility to fix it. Meanwhile, Tongrak struggles to write a love scene as he needs to get intimate with someone to be able to write about it.
Furthermore, Mahasamut offers to show Tongrak around after the latter gets absorbed in his work. After the former jumps in for a dive in the ocean, the latter panics. Upon returning, Mahasamut finds Tongrak crying. The latter worriedly says he thought the former fell into the water and was going to die. Tongrak adds, “No matter how much I hate you, I don’t want to see you die.” Mahasamut then apologizes and hugs Tongrak to calm him down.
