Star Wars: The Acolyte Jecki Lon: What’s Her Age and Species?

The viewers wish to know about the age and species of Jecki Lon, one of the original characters introduced in Star Wars: The Acolyte. Portrayed by Dafne Keen, who is most known for playing Laura in the superhero action-drama film Logan (2017), Jecki is a young Padawan of Jedi Master Sol. The viewers meet her for the first time when she arrives on a Trade Federation cargo ship with Jedi Knight Yord Fandar (Charlie Barnett) looking for former Padawan Osha Aniseya (Amandla Stenberg). The Acolyte quickly establishes her as calm and intelligent, indicating that she possesses all the qualities to become a great Jedi Knight in the future.

Here is what we have discovered about Jecki Lon’s age and species in the series.

How old is Jecki Lon in The Acolyte?

As of episode 2, Jecki Lon’s age has not been mentioned in Star Wars: The Acolyte. However, given that she is a Padawan, we can safely speculate that she is in her mid-teens.

Dafne Keen, who was born on January 4, 2005, is 19 years old as of June 2024. It makes sense she is playing a character only a few years younger than her. Despite her young age and lack of experience, Jecki demonstrates that she is wise and practical beyond her years. In episode 2, she is the one who suggests that Osha should meet Qimir (Manny Jacinto) pretending to be Mae so the Jedi can learn more about the assassin’s plans.

What is Jecki Lon’s species?

Jecki Lon is a Theelin-human hybrid similar to Rystáll Sant, the singer and dancer introduced in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi Special Edition.

The Theelin are a humanoid sentient species that can copulate with humans and produce hybrids such as Jecki and Rystáll. They have spotted and mottled skin, brightly-colored hair, and hooved feet, with three horns adorning both sides of their faces. Although the Theelin are known for their artistic pursuits, they have colonized numerous worlds.

A fan of Rystáll, series creator Leslye Headland wanted to have a Jedi of Theelin origin in The Acolyte, which led to Jecki’s creation. “There were certain things that I really wanted to do,” she told StarWars.com. “You’ll see a half-Theelin, half-human Jedi, Jecki, played by Dafne Keen, which was always a dream of mine,” Headland added.
