The Midnight Romance in Hagwon Episode 7: Wi Ha-Joon makes a strong commitment to Jung Ryeo-Won

The latest episode 7 of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon began with Lee Joon-Ho’s confession to Seo Hye-Jin. The latter avoided her feelings, confessing that it was all a misunderstanding. However, Joon-Ho expressed his commitment to staying loyal to Hye-Jin and waiting for her until she decides. As the two navigated their conversation privately, Nam Cheong-Mi returned to the academy, suspicious of the two.

Hye-Jin convinced Cheong-Mi that nothing was going on between her and Joon-Ho. She also offered Cheong-Mi her place to stay for the night. Before the two ladies went to sleep, Cheong-Mi assured to keep Hye-Jin and Joon-Ho’s meeting a secret. Meanwhile, Joon-Ho texted Hye-Jin, expressing his intentions to wait for her, irrespective of her decision to leave Daechi Chase and move to Choiseon Korean.

The following day, Daechi Chase assistant director Woo Seung-Hee called Hye-Jin and revealed that director Kim Hyun-Tak remained unavailable. The latter fell sick after getting drunk the previous night while apologizing to Hye-Jin. Later, Hye-Jin and fellow team leader Yoon Ji-Seok went to check on the director and found that he was very unwell. Hyun-Tak apologized to Hye-Jin again and confessed to respecting her decision if she chose to switch academies.

Meanwhile, Choiseon Korean director Choi Hyeong-Seon grew concerned over losing her students to Daechi Chase and Hye-Jin. The latter expressed her decision to move from Choiseon Korean to Ji-Seok, who congratulated her. However, Ji-Seok expressed that Joon-Ho would be disappointed, given how much he liked her. Back at Daechi Chase, an employee flirted with Joon-Ho, but he confessed to having feelings for someone else.

After Hye-Jin arrived at Daechi Chase, she called her team for a meeting. Later, she spoke to Joon-Ho privately, expressing her interest in returning to how the two were before Joon-Ho’s confession. This surprised the latter as he continued showing his sincere interest. However, Hye-Jin worried that this might affect Joon-Ho’s career. Their conversation was interrupted when student Lee Shi-Woo came to meet them.

When Hye-Jin met Shi-Woo, he expressed how the joint lecture by her and Joon-Ho was his favorite Korean lecture to date. Shi-Woo further noted that he would remember the class for a long time. This struck Hye-Jin like a bolt of lightning. At night, while speaking with Joon-Ho, she expressed her desire to teach Shi-Woo at Daechi Chase after the student’s honest confession. Hye-Jin wished to help Shi-Wo just like she did with Joon-Ho.

Joon-Ho continued to confess his feelings irrespective of Hye-Jin’s decision. Before dropping her home, he brought her some items from the convenience store and revealed that he’d bought the house above the store to stay close to Hye-Jin. Joon-Ho told his parents he’d move to a new house the following day. Meanwhile, Hye-Jin met director Hyeong-Seon at Choiseon Korean and confessed to not taking the job and staying at Daechi Chase.

After Hye-Jin left, Hyeong-Seon grew more concerned. Meanwhile, Hye-Jin met Shi-Woo at Choiseon Korean and wondered why he still visited the academy after getting admission at Daechi Chase. Shi-Woo expressed that he’d come to return a few textbooks that were part of the scholarship fees. Hye-Jin asked if she could buy him some juice, but Shi-Woo had to head to his classes. On her way to Daechi Chase, Hye-Jin asked Joon-Ho to meet her.

At the end of the episode, Hye-Jin decided to not only stay at Daechi Chase but also realized that she began to love herself more.
