Batgirl Directors React to Coyote Vs. Acme Also Being Canceled

Bad Boys 4 directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have reacted to Coyote Vs. Acme getting canceled by Warner Bros. Discovery, after their Bargirl movie received similar treatment from the studio. The two believe that the audience must decide if a film is worth watching.

While Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have found success with Bad Boys for Life and Ms. Marvel, they also had to endure the cancelation of their Batgirl movie. Following its scrapping, Warner Bros. officially shelved director Dave Green’s movie Coyote Vs. Acme, and the Bad Boys: Ride or Die directors have spoken out in his support.

At their latest movie’s red carpet, the two talked to Screen Rant and said:

“Well, yeah, it’s an extra thing to worry about in Hollywood, and that’s sad. I think that we all are artists. We are friends with Dave Green; he’s our boy. We hope that he will be able to do a movie in the future.”

They concluded by saying “that movies must be seen by the audience, and the audience must judge them.”

While Batgirl still needed a lot of work in post-production, Coyote Vs. Acme is a complete movie that Warner Bros. Discovery decided to shelve. However, the latter could still escape the same fate as Batgirl if another studio shows interest in acquiring its rights.

Warner Bros. reportedly rejected offers from Netflix, Amazon, and Paramount as it demanded at least $75 million for the movie. The film is still available for acquisition, but no studio has been willing to match the asking price. Whether Coyote Vs. Acme sees the light of the day remains to be seen.

Nevertheless, the Batgirl directors have seen their careers unimpeded by its cancelation as they were called back for Will Smith’s Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which hits theaters on June 7. Rumors even suggest that they could potentially direct Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4.
