Is Becky Lynch Headed to AEW After WWE Contract Expiry?

Speculation is rampant about whether former WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch is moving to AEW after her contract expires. Lynch, who has been with WWE for over a decade, has had a Hall of Fame career during her time in WWE. Becky Lynch, who has stated that she has not re-signed with the promotion, has her contract expiring soon.

According to reports on June 1, Becky Lynch’s current contract with WWE will expire, making her a free agent. It has also been reported that Lynch and WWE have not reached an agreement regarding a new contract. This situation has led many to speculate whether Lynch is considering leaving WWE and heading elsewhere, with fans speculating about AEW.

The latest reports shed light on Becky Lynch’s potential move to AEW. According to PW Torch editor Wade Keller, Lynch is not considering an imminent move to AEW, based on what she’s telling people in WWE. Furthermore, multiple sources have reported that she will be taking a hiatus from work. However, the reason for her hiatus from the promotion is unknown.

Following WrestleMania 40, reports suggested Lynch would take time off, but this did not occur as WWE brought her back when Rhea Ripley suffered an injury. This led to Becky Lynch coming back to have a program with Liv Morgan.

Becky Lynch’s message to fans after WWE contract expiry: What’s next for the former women’s champion?

At the recent King and Queen of the Ring event, Becky Lynch was defeated by Liv Morgan, resulting in her losing her world title. The interference from Dominik Mysterio played a role in Lynch’s loss by causing a distraction. Lynch used her rematch clause on WWE RAW, but once again, Mysterio’s interference led to Morgan retaining the title. After the match, Lynch received a standing ovation from fans. She also shared a message on Instagram during her WWE contract’s expiration.

Lynch joined WWE in April 2013 and appeared on NXT TV for the first time on June 26, 2014. She made her main roster debut in July 2015. Given her long history with the promotion since the beginning of her career, it’s highly unlikely that she will be leaving the promotion.
