Tires Season 2 Ordered Ahead of Shane Gillis Netflix Show’s Debut

Ahead of its series premiere this Thursday, May 23, Netflix has ordered an early Season 2 renewal for Tires, an upcoming comedy series from Shane Gillis

Tires is confirmed to be returning for Season 2 next year, though the exact release date has yet to be announced. The streaming service’s latest decision marks the expansion of its partnership with the comedian, following the recently-ordered standup special set to premiere in 2025. Gillis also recently appeared on three sold-out shows for this year’s Netflix is a Joke Fest

The comedian’s 2023 special, titled Beautiful Dogs, has also been a huge success for the streamer, having spent weeks on the streamer’s Top 10 list. Beautiful Dogs has also proven to be a well-received project for both Gillis and Netflix, as the special currently boasts a 93% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes

What is Tires about?

The six-episode series, directed by John McKeever, will center on Will, a “nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain” who “attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane.”

Netflix recently released the trailer for Tires on May 10. You can watch it below:
