Xbox Game Pass may not have been the silver bullet Microsoft hoped for. However, it’s still a way for subscribers to play several free games every month. The second half of May sees the arrival of twelve more games, including a major new release.
Xbox Game Pass lineup for May 14 to June 4
The critically acclaimed 2013 adventure game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is the first game in May’s second wave, returning to Game Pass on Tuesday. Controlling one brother with each thumb stick, players lead them on a quest to find a cure for their ill father. It’s followed by the puzzle adventure game Chants of Sennaar on May 15.
Moving from indie to AAA, EA’s fantasy FPS Immortals of Aveum hits Game Pass on May 16. EA Sports NHL 24, already on the subscription service, will also become available on cloud gaming the same day. Both require an EA Play membership, which is included in the PC and ultimate versions of Game Pass.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 launches for Xbox and PC on May 21 and comes to Game Pass on day one. The sequel to 2012’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, it sees Senua journey to Viking Age Iceland. Players can also check out Galacticare and Hauntii on May 23 and Moving Out 2 on May 28.
The next big game in the lineup is Lords of the Fallen, the confusingly titled follow-up to the 2014 game by the same name. It hits Xbox Game Pass on May 30, the same day as the action-puzzle game Humanity. Finally, the mystery game Firework and cozy life sim Rolling Hills arrive on June 4.
Unfortunately, the following six games will leave Xbox Game Pass on May 31:
- Chicory: A Colorful Tale (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Farworld Pioneers (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Pac-man Museum Plus (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Little Witch in the Woods (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Railway Empire II (Cloud, Console, and PC)
