Figuring out the correct Fast & Furious watch order is a tall order. Several FAF movies aren’t labelled with a number like the rest of them, and there are several spinoffs that are sprinkled throughout the timeline. In addition, there are a few lesser-known short films that technically count as being a part of the right chronological order. And then in general, many of the movies are jumbled up as far as where they fit in the proper timeline. To make this an easier process, here’s a breakdown of how to watch the Fast & Furious movies in the right chronological order.
What is the correct Fast & Furious watch order?
The following is a list noting the correct watch order for the Fast & Furious series, including major theatrical movies and several short films.

On top of that, the sequel to Fast X aptly called Fast X: Part 2 is slated for release in 2026, which is a delay from the original 2025 window. Louis Leterrier, the director for Fast X, has been slated to direct the movie. Rumors have it that this film will be the last movie in the franchise, though even if that were true, there may still be spinoffs and other content based on the FAF universe.
We should also mention the animated series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers that first released in 2019. It’s a cartoon targeted for kids that exists within the Fast & Furious canon and generally comes after all of the movies listed above in the timeline. There are six seasons of it, though, so it’s up to you whether it’s worth getting through it all.
If you’re into racing video games, you may want to find copies of Fast & Furious: Showdown (2013) as well as Fast & Furious Crossroads (2020). Since Showdown bridges the gap between Fast Five and Fast and Furious 6, it’s technically part of the canon. However, it’s only available for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PC, and Nintendo 3DS, so you may want to watch a full walkthrough instead of playing through it. Meanwhile, Fast & Furious Crossroads for PS4, Xbox One, and PC takes place alongside The Fate of the Furious, Hobbs & Shaw, and F9. Sadly, it’s not a particularly great game, with it hovering around a 35 on Metacritic, so this may be yet another candidate for another full gameplay watch on YouTube.
Where to watch and stream Fast & Furious movies in order
Working out where to watch or stream all of the Fast & Furious movies in order is an entirely different matter. Unless you have a physical copy of each film, it can be difficult to figure out which subscription services and platforms grant access to the movies.
In general, apart from buying every movie outright on Blu-ray or DVD, we suggest renting or purchasing all of the major films on the list through either Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, or Apple TV+. In fact, Apple TV+ has a bundle available where you can purchase the core ten movies (that is, without the spinoffs or short films).
If you prefer going the streaming route, you’ll find the first six major films of the series through Peacock. The other movies are all over the place to stream, whether it’s Max, Hulu, Youtube, Amazon Prime Video, DirecTV, FuboTV, and Freevee. It’s honestly a headache, and even if you have all of those subscriptions, the licenses to these films can easily change in the future.
