Romantic C-drama Reblooming Blue released episode five on May 9, 2024. The drama features popular actors Victoria Song and Vic Zhou in the lead roles. The episode focuses on Xiao Man (Victoria Song) running into Ke Yan (Vic Zhou).
Xiao Man opens up to her friend, Zhou Yujian, about having money problems. She worries that her aunt won’t approve of her buying shares of the family business. Xiao Man asks her friend to take her to see the project inauguration her company is hosting. She needs to see the result of her hard work.
At the event, Xiao Man sees Ke Yan sitting on the stage, not associating with anyone. Her heart breaks to see Mr. Shang and others take credit for Ke Yan’s hard work. Ke Yan’s superiors ask him to join them for drinks. After the ceremony is over, Xiao Man shares greetings with him.
Yujian takes Xiao Man to show around his porcelain store. He urges Xiao Man to move back to her home. As Xiao Man stays quiet, he asks her if she still thinks about resolving matters with her former boss. Yujian wants her to join his business, and they can expand it together.
On her way to a restaurant, Xiao Man notices Ke Yan on the streets. He seems to be intoxicated and vomits uncontrollably. Xiao Man is furious to see Mr. Shang trying to get him to go back to drinking despite his condition. Xiao Man intervenes and takes Ke Yan home, leaving Yujian behind.
Reblooming Blue ep 5: Victoria Song runs into Vic Zhou
Ke Yan wakes up from his slumber and takes time to make sense of his surroundings. Xiao Man cares for him and helps him get sober. Ke Yan apologizes for ignoring her at the event. Xiao Man informs him of her resignation from the company. Ke Yan thanks her for her help and promises to return the favor. He is determined to get back to his old position at the company.
After going back to Beijing, Ke Yan meets his old classmate and asks for his help. His friend advises him to seek help from Mr. Ma, who is a legendary figure in the investment community. With Mr. Ma’s help, funding will no longer be a problem. But it is not easy to reach him, as he has been living in seclusion in the mountains since his retirement. With the help of his connections, Ke Yan is able to track him down.
Meanwhile, Xiao Man’s aunt hatches a plot with her husband and convinces him to refuse to give Xiao Man any share. She agrees to pay for her dowry and buy her a house in her hometown, but she is not ready to agree to her demands of buying shares of her family business. Xiao Man’s uncle feels bad for her but is not able to oppose his wife’s idea.
Ke Yan goes to meet Mr. Ma, who appears to be a hard egg to crack. After Ke Yan asks for his advice, Mr. Ma questions his qualifications and calls him prideful. He is ready to help Ke Yan with funding but turns down Ke Yan’s proposal to officially collaborate with him.
