Lee Do-Hyun wins Baeksang Awards 2024 for Exhuma
At the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards 2024, Lee Do-Hyun bagged the Best New Actor for Film award for his movie, Exhuma. He plays Bong-Gil, a fellow shaman accompanying Hwarim (Kim Go-Eun).
In the movie, they take over a case involving the vengeful spirit of the grandfather of a rich family. While they manage to get rid of the elderly spirit, things get complicated when another coffin is discovered at the same unholy grave. This time, the spirit attacks Bong-Gil and possesses him. The actor also became popular in the movie for his buffed-up, tattooed look.
Meanwhile, Do-Hyun’s appearance at the Baeksang Awards 2024 came as a surprise because he is currently enlisted in the military. While receiving the award, he mentioned the name of his girlfriend, Lim Ji-Yeon. The two first met on the set of the Netflix K-drama The Glory.
While Exhuma is Do-Hyun’s first movie playing a lead role, he is popular for his acting skills in TV dramas. Some of his popular shows include 18 Again, Sweet Home (Seasons 1 & 2), Youth of May, The Glory (Seasons 1 & 2), The Good Bad Mother, and Death’s Game.
With his performance in Exhuma, he has added another feather to his cap. Also, the film has been nominated in multiple categories in the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards 2024.
