The Quintessential Quintuplet Honeymoon Arc: What’s known so far?
The series first premiered in 2019, which makes this year the fifth anniversary of the franchise. The production of The Quintessential Quintuplets made an announcement on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The series will hit the screens again with a brand-new story, and the author, Negi Haruba, will supervise the project.
There is no official information regarding the release date yet. However, it was unveiled that the anime would be traced through the Honeymoon chapter of Fuutarou Uesugi and the Quintuplets.
This rom-com manga series started serializing in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017. With over 20 million copies sold so far, the serialization continued until 2020. The first season of the anime consisted of 12 episodes. After a very successful response from audiences, the green flag was waved for a second season in 2021. It was a part of the Winter 2021 line-up, and the series even received a movie the following year, in May 2020.
The story revolves around a high school student named Fuutarou Uesugi. He comes from a financially strained family. Therefore, to make ends meet, he decides to work as a part-time tutor.
The story becomes rather interesting when he learns that his students are five girls from his school. They’re gorgeous and, despite being quintuplets, have very different personalities. What started as a mere part-time gig turns into a thrilling experience for Fuutarou as he finds himself in a weird predicament.
