Plot – what’s the story about?
The story of Twisters revolves around former storm chaser Kate Cooper, her best friend Javi, and social media star Tyler Owens, who all become entangled in a fight for survival as multiple dangerous storms and tornadoes converge over central Oklahoma.
Kate Cooper is a former storm chaser who is haunted by a horrific encounter with a tornado during her college years. Cooper now studies storm patterns safely via digital screens in New York City. However, Cooper is lured back into storm chasing and the open fields by her best friend Javi, to test a new device that could prove groundbreaking for storm studies. Along the way, Cooper meets the charming but reckless social media star Tyler Owens, who enjoys posting storm-chasing adventures with his crew. However, things get tense and dangerous for Kate, Javi, and Tyler when they all become involved in a fight for survival against various storms and tornadoes when they reach and cause untold amounts of destruction over Central Oklahoma.
