Queen of Tears episode 12 aired on Sunday, April 14, 2024, on tvN and Netflix. Starring Kim Ji-Won as Hong Hae-In and Kim Soo-Hyun as Baek Hyun-Woo, the K-drama revolves around divorced Hae-In and Hyun-Woo finding love in each other again.
In the previous episode, Hae-In announced at a press conference that Eun-Seong (Park Sung-Hoon) threatened her. Moreover, she revealed that she had been terminally ill, leaving her family in shock. Meanwhile, Hyun-Woo laid out a plan to save the Queen’s group.
The latest episode 12 begins with Hae-In learning the man she is in the car with is not Hyun-Woo. Due to her illness, she fails to recognize the love of her life and assumes Eun-Seong as Hyun-Woo. Eun-Seong takes advantage of the situation and brings her home to share a romantic dinner with her. Meanwhile, he orders to kill Hyun-Woo.

In Queen of Tears episode 12, Eun-Seong’s (Park Sung-Hoon) manipulation technique fails as Hae-In (Kim Ji-Won) tags along with him for her own benefit. She comes home with him to meet her sick grandfather, who has been kept hostage in that house. When she meets him, she gives him a recording device and asks her grandfather to record whatever he wants to say.
Later, she leaves the house and wanders in the backyard. She sees Hyun-Woo (Kim Soo-Hyun) looking for her but hesitates to believe her sightings. Finally, the couple finds each other, leaving Eun-Seong furious.
Meanwhile, their mothers go through old photos when Hae-In’s mom, Seon-Hwa, learns that Hyun-Woo saved a person in his childhood. Seon-Hwa recalls that she was at the same beach at the same time, hinting at the drowning incident where Hae-In survived, but her elder son died. On the other hand, Eun-Seong tells Hae-In that he saved her from drowning on that day.
The next day, Hae-In and Hyun-Woo share a few heart-flittering moments. While heading back to the latter’s house, they stop to witness nature’s beauty when he asks her for divorce withdrawal. He proposes the offer with a diamond ring, making her heart flutter. But she refuses, stating that she does not have many days to live and, thus, doesn’t want to tie him down. The scene ends on an emotional note.
Amid all this, Hyun-Woo guides Hae-In’s family about Man-Dae’s (Hae-In’s sick grandfather) hidden trust fund. They try to find the hidden floor map as Hyun-Woo believes the money is hidden in the house. On the other hand, Eun-Seong and his birth mother, Seul-Hee, also have the same doubts.

Towards the Queen of Tears episode 12 ending, Hyun-Woo (Kim Soo-Hyun), Hae-In (Kim Ji-Won), and her family arrive at Man-Dae’s house to look for the trust fund. But they receive the devastating news of his death. Earlier, Man-Dae intentionally fell down the stairs.
After the funeral, the family confronts Seul-Hee about the possession of the house, but she avoids the topic. As the family gets in the elevator to leave the house, Hyun-Woo finds a secret button that opens the other side of the lift and takes them to a secret room. The K-drama ends with the family shockingly looking at the open door.
Aside from this, Queen of Tears episode 12 also focuses on Soo-Cheol’s (Kwak Dong-Yeon) life. Da-Hye returns to him with her child to run away from the kid’s abusive birth father. Soo-Cheol accepts her and the kid, giving a happy ending to the couple.
