Adult Swim has finally released the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Smiling Friends, set to have its double premiere on May 12, 2024.
Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel’s hit animated comedy follows Smiling Friends Inc. employees — Charlie, Pim, Alan, Glep, and Mr. Boss — as they commit to making the strange world a happier place every day despite the misadventures they face along the way.
Back on April 1, Adult Swim also continued its April Fools’ Day tradition by recreating three episodes of the series with puppets. The company also surprised fans with a Season 2 premiere episode, titled Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4k (Anniversary Director’s Cut).”

What to expect in Smiling Friends Season 2?
Similar to the first season, Pim and Charlie will once again embark on a mission to put a smile on everyone’s faces. However, Season 2 shapes up to make their mission a lot harder as they attempt to make a United States president smile as well.
Per the show’s synopsis, the second season of Smiling Friends will see “Pim, Charlie, Zongo, Allan, and Glep continue their mission to bring happiness to the world, whether it’s a washed-up retro video game character, a troubled marriage, or even the president of the United States.”
In addition to Cusack and Hadel, the voice cast for the Adult Swim series also includes Marc M., David Dore, Mick Lauer, Erica Lindbeck, Chris O’Neill, Hans van Harken, Rodrigo Huerta, Joshua Tomar, and Harry Partridge.
Smiling Friends Season 2 premieres on Adult Swim at midnight on May 12, with new episodes streaming on Max the next day.
